Campus Support Walk - Focus when they take data from the campus. Our focus is blended learning. We are a phase 1 campus, as this is the first year we have implemented technology. Our campus has rated #1. We are far beyond those who are phase 2. Back in November we had a lot of people observe our SST process, our technology. Each campus has a technology integration and we were a host for those who learn. We are doing really well.
The district has a visitor has a SECARIA ISD is wanting to come to Fortbend to see Blended Learning and Schoology. In the afternoon we will have a breakout session to learn from teachers and students to ask questions. How do they do this or that and how do they learn.
STAAR testing is coming up for 5th grade.
Over the holidays we have a handful of new students. We had under 700 when we started the school year, and now we have about 730. We are getting a lot of transfers - overseas and out of district.
Ms Viado is on top of identifying these and keeping up to be sure the teacher to student ratio. Also, she is continuing to identify if we can be a “closed” campus. In Texas 22/1 +2 is the teacher to student ratio, except for 5th grade. Currently 4th grade has high student to teacher ratio but we have not surpassed that ratio yet we still have two paraprofessionals on rotation.
